Modern thermoplastic packaging. Economical. Saves time, space & weight. Easily applied by immersing the part to be protected in the molten plastic for only 1-2 seconds. The plastic will solidify in less than a minute, leaving the part completely protected. And since the plastic coats without adhering, removal is as easy as peeling a banana. Most coatings are available in transparent and opaque colors. Normal thickness is 80-90 mils, and 8 lbs. of solid Plastic will melt into one liquid gallon, which will provide 4000 square inches of coverage at 1/10 inch thickness. Used for rust prevention, product identification, inventory control, or to enhance the appearance of the product. Both the item and its part number are clearly visible through the protective coating, and the part is protected from abrasion and handling damage.
