Transparent Blue Type 1 Coating based on Ethylcellulose. This is our most widely used Type 1 product. It has very low fumes and with little odor. It is transparent so that part numbers on products are clearly visible through the coating.  Available in Clear, Grean, Blue and Red.

Waage Shield coatings are easily applied, by immersing the part to be protected in the molten plastic for only one to two seconds.  The plastic will solidify in less than a minute, leaving the part completely protected.  Since the coating coats without adhering, removal is as easy as peeling a banana.

Normal coating thickness is 80-90 mils and 8 pounds of solid coating will melt into one liquid gallon, which will provide 4,000 square inches of coverage at 1/10" thickness.
